President-elect Joe Biden is considering Darrell Blocker as his appointment for Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). If selected, Blocker will be the first Black man to hold the post.

Blocker has 32 years of intelligence experience – four as an Air Force analyst and 28 of which he served in the CIA mostly as a clandestine (undercover) agent.

His CIA experience includes being an operations officer, Chief of Station, deputy director of counterterrorism, chief of the agency’s training center and Chief of Africa division.

According to Blocker, his task “was to spot, assess, develop, and recruit spies to help keep our nation safe,” Blocker once used being the lead singer of a popular Ugandan band, the Kampala Jazz All-Stars, as a cover.

“My clandestine activities were enhanced by being viewed as a singer, because who would ever think that one could be both?” Blocker told ABC News. “That is a leap too far for most and I honestly feel that it kept me safer by being in plain sight.”

Listen to GHOGH with Jamarlin Martin | Episode 73: Jamarlin Martin

Jamarlin makes the case for why this is a multi-factor rebellion vs. just protests about George Floyd. He discusses the Democratic Party’s sneaky relationship with the police in cities and states under Dem control, and why Joe Biden is a cop and the Steve Jobs of mass incarceration.

Blocker spent 22 years living abroad in Africa, Asia and Europe during his career. He is considered a subject matter expert on North Korea, Iran, counterterrorism and counterintelligence issues.

The CIA has often been criticized for its alleged interference in Africa throughout history. Some of the most controversial operations are said to have taken place during Blocker’s tenure and recent declassified Pentagon map shows the U.S. has a stronger footprint in Africa than it has claimed in the past.

He retired in 2018 as the most senior Black officer in the CIA’s Directorate of Operations and was honored with the agency’s Distinguished Career Intelligence Medal in August 2019.

Currently, Blocker is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for MOSAIC (Multi Operational Security Agency Intelligence Company); National Security Program Manager for CT-Watch, a global solutions provider of training and consulting in counterterrorism, security and intelligence and an ABC News Contributor, according to his bio on Tiger 21

Blocker is also a public speaker and serves on the board of two non-profit organizations with missions to help youth in foster care and end human trafficking, his bio states.
