Politics makes strange bedfellows, and that couldn’t have been truer than seeing Vice President-elect Kamala Harris, an ardent Democrat, fist-bumping the zealous, Trump-supporting Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham.

Graham has allegedly been helping Trump come up with ways to overturn the Biden-Harris win.

The fist-bump took place as GOP senators recently congratulated Sen. Harris (D-Calif) on the Senate floor. Harris extended her fist rather than the popular covid-19 elbow greeting — as Graham (R-SC) approached her during a vote on a Federal Reserve nominee, The New York Post reported. Graham bumped fists with Harris as he passed. It’s unclear if they spoke to each other.

Are the two homies behind the scenes? Most would think not.

Graham has been accused of telling a Georgia official to “throw out” votes. Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, also a Republican, recently accused Graham in a Washington Post interview of pressuring him to throw out legally cast ballots in districts where there were large discrepancies.

Graham has denied the allegations.

Now The Squad is asking for his resignation. Representatives Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib joined calls by other House Democrats for Graham’s resignation, Fox News reported.

“Lindsey Graham attempted to commit voter fraud. He can’t get away with it,” Tlaib tweeted. “Actions result in consequences. This unethical and possibly illegal action from a sitting U.S. Senator demands a swift consequence. Thank you [Rep. Pramilia Jayapal] for demanding it.”

One of Trump’s regular golfing partners, Graham is chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Harris has not weighed in on the resignation demands, but her history seems to suggest she often flip flops.

Many pointed this out on Twitter. One user posted, “The same prosecutor who failed to prosecute Mnuchin for the foreclosure crisis just fist bumped the senator who told the GA Secretary of State to throw out legal ballots cast for Biden.”

Another tweeted, “She will jail any and all poor people to be tough on crime but she’s cool with big white collar crime and corrupt politicians”.

Other social media users saw the fist-bump as a power move by Harris.

One person tweeted, “Total power move by Kamala….come to me you weasel….kiss the king lol”.

Another suggested this was a strategy on Harris’s part: “It’s called finessing the situation. Y’all voted for Biden/Harris to restored peace. This how you keep your enemies close.”

Harris has cozied up before with others that she disagreed with, including Biden. It seems to have landed her the VP spot. When she was asked about her past hard criticism of Biden, she brushed off the question.

“Truth be told I think most of these GOP Senators are happy Trump will be gone. They are just afraid to say anything and are putting up a front,” one person tweeted.

Listen to GHOGH with Jamarlin Martin | Episode 73: Jamarlin Martin Jamarlin makes the case for why this is a multi-factor rebellion vs. just protests about George Floyd. He discusses the Democratic Party’s sneaky relationship with the police in cities and states under Dem control, and why Joe Biden is a cop and the Steve Jobs of mass incarceration.

During a June 2019 appearance on CBS’s “The Late Show” with Stephen Colbert, Harris said that despite bashing Biden at a primary debate, she would support the Democratic candidate no matter who it was, Real Clear Politics reported.

“How do you go from being such a passionate opponent on such bedrock principles for you, and now you guys seem to be pals?” Colbert asked.

“It was a debate,” Harris said about her attacks on Biden’s former policies.
