More and more Black voters are asking the Democrats, “What’s in it for me?” This is evidenced by the increase in Black voters who want to send Donald Trump back to the White House. Add BET co-founder Robert Johnson to the group of Black Americans who are frustrated with the DNC.

Johnson has been pushing for reparations and for Black people to create their own political party. He claimed during a Nov. 4 CNBC interview that voting Democrat gives Black Americans “minimal return.”

The Democratic Party is not a smart choice for African Americans, Johnson said.

“I think Black Americans are getting a little bit tired of delivering huge votes for the Democrats, and seeing minimal return in terms of economic wealth and closing the wealth gap, the job creation and job opportunities,” Johnson said.

Johnson said in 2019 that the 2020 election was Trump’s to lose. He’s not excited about a possible Joe Biden White House.

“Joe Biden was not an inspiring candidate for many Black Americans. And some of them stay at home. Some of them voted for Trump,” Johnson added.

Other Black voters seem to agree with Johnson, who became the first Black American billionaire in 2000. Trump won 8 percent of the Black vote, about a 2 percentage-point increase over his 2016 numbers, according to AP VoteCast. An exit poll by Edison Research reported that Trump got a 4 percent bump with Black voters, Vox reported.

On Twitter, some people agreed with Johnson’s opinion that Black Americans are getting tired of delivering huge votes for the Democrats, and seeing minimal return.

“#ADOS has been saying this,” one person tweeted.

Filmmaker and activist Tariq Nasheed tweeted a video of Haitians for Trump with the caption, “Democrats: ‘You Foundational Black Americans won’t get anything..but you should support immigration.’ FBA: ‘What about tangibles for Black people?’ Democrats: ‘well, a lot of immigrants are Black.'”

Moguldom Nation founder Jamarlin Martin tweeted: “The Biden ‘Bougie Buffers’ are going to say ‘Bob Johnson doesn’t know what he’s talking about, we believe in Biden, Pelosi, Schumer, Feinstein, & TOKENISM.’ When MAGA ‘vote or die’ fear goes away, DEM’s are in BIG TROUBLE. U can take that to the BANK.”

Listen to GHOGH with Jamarlin Martin | Episode 73: Jamarlin Martin Jamarlin makes the case for why this is a multi-factor rebellion vs. just protests about George Floyd. He discusses the Democratic Party’s sneaky relationship with the police in cities and states under Dem control, and why Joe Biden is a cop and the Steve Jobs of mass incarceration.

Johnson said he doubts that Biden and the Democratic Party will focus on the needs of Black America if they win the election.

“Black people do not embrace Biden as he never articulated a policy that went directly to the concerns of Black Americans,” Johnson said. “I don’t think Biden has that leadership quotient that’s going to allow him to do what is critical to bring the economy back, due to the trade-off between restoring the economy and fighting the pandemic.”
