For about 200 francs or $0.40, passengers in Yaounde, Cameroon’s capital, can grab a ride in a “taxi-bus” — that’s if one is going in their direction. Ever since the government ruled out mini-buses — the country’s official form of transportation — black & yellow cars (better known as taxi-buses) have risen in popularity, CCTV Africa reported. Motorcycle taxis have also been banned in the capital’s center, creating an opportunity for drivers and potential taxi-bus entrepreneurs.

“As a driver you have to give 10,000 Francs to your boss every day, so to earn money for yourself you have to work extra hard,” one taxi-bus driver said in the video. Some days you earn more, some days you earn less — but it evens out.”
