Ghana’s President Mahama Praised For Bold Move To Reduce Electricity Tariff

Ghana’s President John Dramani Mahama recently made what same say was a bold move–and it has paid off.

Mahama is being praised for taking an initiative in reducing the much panned electricity tariff by 25 percent to avert the strike action by organized labor groups in the country, reports Ghana Business News.

President Mahama made the move even though would cost the government a great deal but Ghanaians, especially leaders of the labor groups, overwhelming approve.

Nii Ephraim, Municipal Chief Executive for Effutu, applauded the Mahama. He said the president’s action has “once again demonstrated clearly to the entire nation that he has the welfare of the people at heart and was determined more than ever to fulfill all the promises his government has made to the nation,” reports Ghana Business News.
