The economy is tanking due to the Covid-19 pandemic – and celebrities and moguls aren’t being spared because of their money and fame. According to experts, it’s not going to recover anytime soon. Since the pandemic’s impact is far reaching, business as usual no longer exists.
To buffer some of the sting, people are cutting costs and parting ways with non-priorities. Celebrities are no exception. Here are 9 celebrities and moguls selling mansions during the coronavirus pandemic while the economy implodes.
Jenny from da block and her all-star hitta have listed their beachside mansion in Malibu for sale for $8 million, reported the Los Angeles Times. Described by Lopez last year as “a little fixer-upper next to the water,” the house boasts three stories, 5 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms.
It also has patios, balconies and over 4,400 square feet of living space, according to the report. The couple purchased it last year from “Entourage” actor Jeremy Piven for $6.6 million.
Multi-talented music man Pharrell Williams has listed his Beverly Hills mansion on the famed Mulholland Drive, reported Mansion Global. The asking price is $17 million.
According to Mansion Global, Williams lavish home is a 17,000-square-foot glass house with 10 bedrooms and 11 bathrooms. “It sits on four meticulously manicured acres behind a gate and features a 200-foot-long driveway with a motor court that can accommodate more than 30 vehicles, according to the listing. The landscape also includes koi ponds, tennis courts, a grotto and waterfalls.”
The producer, singer and songwriter only resided at the estate for two years before putting it back on the market. He purchased it for $15.6 million in May 2018.
Embattled WeWork cofounder Adam Neumann is selling his estate in Corte Madera, California for $27.5 million, Yahoo Finance reported.
Known as the “Guitar Home” for its living room shaped like the instrument, Neumann‘s Corte Madera estate has “seven bedrooms, a pool, water slide, home theater, racquetball court and organic gardens and an orchard.”
Neumann purchased the 11-acre property in 2018 for $21.4 million and is also reported to be selling his Manhattan home.
Cleveland Cavaliers player Tristan Thompson is selling his Los Angeles Mansion for $8.6 million, according to US Weekly.
According to the report, “the 9,864-square-foot modern farmhouse-style home boasts seven spacious bedrooms, seven bathrooms and one half-bathroom, according to the listing with real estate agent Tomer Friedman of Compass. It was built in 2018 on 18,843 square feet of land.“
Some of its features include his-and-hers closets, a family room, fireplace, two kitchens with stone islands and a breakfast nook, etc.
Thompson bought the home in June 2019 for $6.5 million.
Speaking of celebrities and moguls, Birdman who is both, sold his massive Miami Beach mansion for $10.85 million Daily Mail reported.
Over 20,000 square feet, the mansion is located on the Palm Island, where legendary mobster Al Capone died. It has seven bedrooms and 13 bathrooms. The master bedroom is over 3,000 square feet large and one of the bathrooms has a gold toilet
The home also has a grand porte-cochere with four pillars and brick cobblestone, double staircase, pool, waterfront, sand tennis court and more.

The man who made “major key” a major thing sold his Waterfront Aventura mansion for a major discount. DJ Khaled’s five-bedroom, 6,697-square-foot home sold for $4.8 million – 40 percent lower than the nearly $8 million asking price in December 2018, reported The Real Deal.
The mansion is a ”four-story estate, built in 2001, [that] features 14-karat gold chandeliers with Swarovski crystals, a granite staircase, wine room, chef’s kitchen, pool and Jacuzzi. It also has a media room and a master suite with a walk-in closet, and featured a separate closet for Khaled’s shoes.”
Khaled currently resides in a more expensive estate on Miami Beach among many other celebrities and moguls.
Former Golden State Warrior and current Miami Heat player Andre Iguodala is selling his mansion in the Bay Area for $3.898 million, reported the Los Angeles Times.
Located in Lafayette, the mansion is a 5,716-square-foot Mediterranean-style property with five bedrooms, five bathrooms, an entertainment room, a wine cellar, a pool and a putting green.
Iguodala bought the home for $3.7 million in 2017.
Hollywood couple Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis are selling the primary home they’ve shared since getting married, GruntStuff reported.
They are asking for $14 million for the three-story, 7,351-square-foot estate. The home boasts five bedrooms with en-suite bedrooms and closets, 5.5 bathrooms, a breakfast nook in an all-white cook’s dinner kitchen, a spa, swimming pool and more.
It is also located in one of the most star-studded communities in Beverly Hills. Kutcher and Kunis bought the home for $10.2 million in 2014 and are currently having another home built.
The world’s favorite judge is selling his Beverly Hills home which is estimated to be valued at $20 million, reported Canyon News.
Cowell purchased the six-bedroom home from Jennifer Lopez in 2004 For $4 million and spent five years renovating it according to Canyon.
As a result it now features “an eight-car garage, a massage room, a retina-scanning security system, and more. The house also has a pool and spa, gym, a movie theatre, and a live-in space for a butler.”
Cowell has several other homes in various places.
