Nakumatt Village Hypermarket Expands in Uganda

The opening of the Sh380.4 million Nakumatt Village Hypermarket at the new Village Mall, Bugolobi is part of the retailer’s regional expansion programme and is expected to set the pace for the opening of yet another branch -Nakumatt Katwe- next week at the Muganzirwaza Shopping centre in Katwe, Kampala.

Speaking during the opening ceremony in Bugolobi, Nakumatt Holdings Managing Director Atul Shah disclosed that plans are at advanced stage to facilitate the opening of two more branches in Uganda at the Lakeside town of Entebbe and Kisementi in coming weeks.

In the renewed spirit of East Africa Community Co-operation, Shah reiterated the firm’s commitment to the ideals of the East African community. Such ideals he said are anchored on Nakumatt’s corporate goals to facilitate formal retail development in the region through the provision of a five star brand promise geared at ensuring quality, value, service, variety and lifestyle up-liftment for its customers.
