Two years after making the leap from BET to Twitter, Kay Madati has announced he’s stepping down from his role as Global VP and Head of Content Partnerships for the social media giant, Deadline reported.

Madati made the announcement Sunday in a series of tweets. “After having the honor of leading @twitter Global Content Partnerships team, I have made the difficult and personal decision to move on from this extraordinary and wonderful company. Dec 13 will be my last day,” Madati wrote.

He added that he wasn’t “sure what’s next” for him but was looking forward to having “time and space to be ‘still.”

“It has been humbling to be part of the passion and dedication that my team brings to bear every single day, and I am beyond grateful to my colleagues and our valued partners who have partnered and journeyed with me to build Twitter’s Global Content footprint over my time here,” he continued.
