Apparently, when it comes to matters concerning the Black race, Stacey Dash isn’t the only one who’s clueless. Pun intended. When the actress and former Fox News contributor was arrested Sunday, Sept. 29, in Florida for domestic battery, her race was listed as white on the charge report.

The arrest came after Dash, 52, had an altercation with her husband Jeffrey Marty in New Port Richey, according to Diaspora 7. The report said “the victim (Marty) sustained red scratch marks to his upper left arm from being pushed.”

In a video released by the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, Dash is shown being arrested and escorted to the patrol car. When the officer asked her what she did for a living, Dash responded, “I’m an actress.” After further inquiry on whether she was a television or movie actress, Dash said, “Both … I did a film called ‘Clueless.’”

Initially, many news outlets reported that Dash listed herself as white. However, TMZ reported the Pasco County Sheriff’s Department told
them otherwise. “Stacey Dash was never asked her race by the arresting deputy, nor did she volunteer any information about her race. The arresting deputy assumed that she was Hispanic,” a statement said.

Dash – who is an outspoken conservative and major supporter of President Donald Trump – has come under fire many times for her comments about and towards Black people.

She’s called for an end to BET and any awards shows “where you’re only awarded if you’re Black,” blasted Oprah Winfrey for comparing Trayvon Martin’s death to Emmett Till’s and said she “felt like [Obama] could give a sh*t – excuse me, like he could care less,” among other things.

When news of her incorrect race listing broke, the internet had a field day. One user identified as CaliCreole commented, “We revoked her Black card some time ago. She was correct in claiming White.” Another user, who is presumably white responded with “Nah…we don’t want her unless you take Trump.”

During the 911 call obtained by TMZ, Dash told police her husband put her in a chokehold.” The altercation seems to have begun over a dispute with Marty’s 15-year-old daughter. Later in the call, she breaks down crying and calls her husband’s kids “the most unruly children.”

Despite being the one who called police, Dash was arrested and held at a Land O’ Lakes detention facility until she was bailed out by Marty on Monday, Sept. 30 according People.

She pled not guilty to the charges and asked to be represented by a public defender claiming she could not afford a private attorney, reported Page Six.
