Lord Mayor of the City of London, Alderman Roger Gifford, has pledged that the City of London and its bourse LSE, will help the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) attain a leading role among African capital markets.

Citing the bourse as the gateway to African capital market, Gifford said the NSE is currently number two in Africa but given the growth potential of the Nigerian economy and the reforms taking place, the exchange is already positioned as the gateway to African capital markets.
