Susan Rice did not come to play with Chinese diplomat Lijian Zhao. The former national security advisor slammed Zhao as “a racist disgrace” on Twitter after he wrote there’s a “’black in & white out’” problem in America in a series of now deleted tweets, reported Buzzfeed.

Part 2: Jamarlin continues his series on The Swamp with Howard Franklin, who has lobbied for Amazon, Google and Sprint. They discuss AIPAC, Beto O’Rourke calling Benjamin Netanyahu racist, and whether there is a basket of deplorables in Israel.

According to Buzzfeed, Zhao is the deputy chief of mission at China’s embassy in Pakistan. He said when Black families move into neighborhoods, whites move out and property values drop. He specifically referenced the southeast area of Washington, DC which is predominately populated by people of color.

It didn’t take long for Twitter users to notice his tweet and point out how undiplomatic it was. Rice was in that number. In addition to calling him racist, she also called Zhao “shockingly ignorant.” Incorrectly believing him to be at the U.S. Chinese Embassy, she said he should be sent home.

Despite, Rice and others’ criticism of him, Zhao initially seemed unbothered. He took to Twitter again on Monday to reiterate America’s race problem by posting a Washington Post article showing DC’s racial segregation and retweeting a user mocking America’s tagline of the “land of the free.”

Zhao also clapped back at Rice by calling her a “such disgrace” and “shockingly ignorant” also. During the heated exchange, Zhao never addressed the China’s holding of approximately 1 million Uighurs, many whom are Muslim in internment camps.
