Kevin Durant Invested In Postmates. Now The Company Is Exploring Buyout With Uber, DoorDash, Walmart Instead Of IPO

Kevin Durant (KD)has been making headlines for his moves on and off the court. In addition to being a part of the Golden State Warriors dynasty for three years before signing with the Brooklyn Nets to make them a serious contender, Durant has made some savvy investments.

In January, his investment into Postmates was being praised as the meal delivery company had increased its value by up to 10 times, reported Clutch Points. However, now that the company has been lagging on filing its announced IPO, insiders are not sure of its fate.

Postmates first announced it would go public in February. However, now sources say the company is in talks with possible acquirers including DoorDash, Walmart and Uber, reported Recode.

Jamarlin talks to Jacques Bastien, founder and CEO of SHADE, a leading influencer management agency. They discuss Jacques’ concept of “hustlepreneurship”, developing a culture that embraces the benefits from entrepreneurship failure and navigating the complex business of social influencers.

According to Recode, the potential for Postmates to go public is still on the table, but they are still keeping their options open. If Postmates sells what does that mean for its investors?

Recode has already dais investors and analysts are “queasy” about the steps Postmates needs to make to pursue an IPO being constantly delayed.

Did KD get this one wrong? Just like his unfortunate injury that will keep him out of play with the Nets for up to a year, fans will just have to wait and see.
