More and more details are coming out surrounding the shooting of hip-hop artist and community activist Nipsey Hussle. Hussle’s final moments were revealed in grand jury transcripts that were recently unsealed.
Hussle “spent part of the afternoon of March 31 signing autographs, taking photos with fans and talking with friends at the Hyde Park strip mall where he owned several businesses,” the Los Angeles Times. “Less than a half hour into his visit, Eric Holder approached the famed rapper, who was with a larger group, and the two shook hands. They had a four-minute conversation, and at some point, the topic turned to snitching.”
The snitching conversation is when apparently things turned sour. And it happened just beforeHussle was gunned down in front of his Marathon Clothing store by his alleged shooter, Holder.

During Deputy District Attorney John McKinney’s opening statement to the grand jury in May, he claimed that Holder and his girlfriend pulled into a busy parking lot at the time to get food from a burger restaurant. Holder apparently spotted Hussle and the conversation ensued.
McKinney said that Holder was heard asking Hussle, “So you’ve never snitched?” or “Haven’t you snitched?”
Holder left, got back into the passenger side of his car, and he and his girlfriend left.
“As she was driving, Holder allegedly pulled out a gun and told the woman to drive around the block so that he could load the weapon. He then told her to pull over and said he’d be right back. McKinney explained he walked back over to where Hussle was and fired several shots at him. He also kicked Hussle in the head,” People reported.
Hussle was heard to say, “You got me.”
