Since his untimely death, the world has been learning more and more about hip-hop artist Nipsey Hussle, who was gunned down in his Los Angeles clothing store on March 31.

One of his business partners David Gross revealed on Instagram that before he died Hussle had invested in a resort and casino that’s opening in Las Vegas in 2020.

“This was about 4 months after our syndicate (@djkhaled, @luoldeng9, @rdpeebles) put in a bid for the Viceroy Santa Monica,” Gross said in the caption for a photo of him and Nipsey. “We were unsuccessful in that but we still shared our attempt with the world. Some people were puzzled why we would share a “failure” but we knew…A few weeks later, senior execs from Virgin Hotels reached out to Atlantic (@dallaslifestyle) to meet with you to see if we were serious about being in the hospitality space. We were. This is the meeting a couple months later, that would result in us becoming partial owners, of not a hotel… But a resort and casino in the desert…The Virgin Las Vegas coming 2020 #legend #facts.”

Everette shares what he learned from selling his first tech business at age 21 and working with Snapchat on a new startup accelerator.

“The casino is one of many businesses that Nipsey invested in, and a large part of the reason why his two children, Emani and Kross Asghedom, are financially set for their futures,” XXL reported.

Hussle leaves behind a substantial estate for his heirs. According to Celebrity Net Worth, he was worth around $8 million.

The casino is a project by billionaire Sir Richard Branson, who is transforming the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. It is scheduled to be finished in the fall of 2020 and marks Branson’s first entry into the gaming industry.

It has been reported that Branson’s company will spend around $200 million to revamp the rock ‘n’ roll-themed casino into the Virgin brand. “When complete, Virgin Hotels Las Vegas will offer 1,504 guestrooms, 60,000-square-foot casino, multiple pools over five acres, and the brand’s flagship Commons Club.” Casino Org reported.

No word on how much Hussle invested into the project. And no confirmation from Branson.
