‘CryptOprah’ On Developing What’s Next In Cryptocurrency

She calls herself the “CryptOprah” and for good reason. Marie-Antoinette Tichler has made a living breaking down the complexities of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology so that anyone can understand.

Ozy described Tichler’s approach: “Her straightforward insight makes digital currency seem as unintimidating as online banking.” She’s been named one of the top women in cryptocurrency.

Tichler is the host of “CryptO Vlog: Behind the Blockchain” on Amazon and Roku’s Cryptocoin Channel. She is also the founder of digital assets management startup C2Legacy.

It is amazing that it was only two years ago that Tichler herself first heard of cryptocurrency. Her 25-year-old son told her about Bitcoin in 2016. Tichler, 47, told Ozy, “I was hooked! I thought, this has a huge ability to change our lives.’”

Tichler started C2Legacy because she wondered what happens to your cryptocurrency after you die. It is the first ever platform on a Blockchain that “will securely and accurately validate the death of the legacy holder using global, digital and decentralized Death Certificates or digital US-based Death Certificates,” Coin Reviews reported.

“C2Legacy digital assets management system allows comfortably planning for the future knowing your digital asset and estate plans will be safely sent to heirs through smart contracts designated by you,” a company spokesperson told Coin Reviews.

C2Legacy  utilizes Social Security records to verify when someone has died so they securely distribute their assets. Tichler’s platform is still in development and has to overcome some regulatory challenges. But she is currently working with EstatePass to “tackle these roadblocks, hoping to both educate consumers and convince states to change their laws,” Ozy reported.

Tichler, who grew up in Georgia, was interested in computer technology early on. After high school, she joined the Air Force and was stationed in Germany. It was then that she got involved in computer science. After the military, she “worked with a number of doctors’ offices to institute electronic medical records.

Tichler also formed the nonprofit Texting Organization Against Distracted Driving, to encourage responsible technology use among kids,” Ozy reported.

When she heard about crypto in 2016 she learned as much as she could, attending Bitcoin seminars. Now, she can’t stop talking about crypto.

“I want to talk about cryptocurrency in layman’s terms and make it more accessible,” Tichler told Ozy. “You don’t have to be a super geek to be involved in crypto.”
