Raiblocks is designed as a currency for commerce between humans and can handle very high transaction / second + incredible transaction speed. Raiblocks has been tested to do 7.000 transactions per second, whereas for example Mastercard has 1600/s, ethereum has 20/s and bitcoin has 3-4/s.

RaiBlocks is a trustless, low-latency cryptocurrency that utilizes a novel block-lattice architecture, where each account has its own blockchain and achieves consensus via delegated Proof of Stake voting. It offers feeless, instantaneous transactions, as well as unlimited scalability, making RaiBlocks ideal for peer-to-peer transactions. The network requires minimal resources, no high-power mining hardware, and can process high transaction throughput.

I’ve tested it, it takes just 2 seconds to get from the exchange into my wallet! fastest thing I’ve ever seen.

It’s only listed on 2 exchanges, with the easiest exchange to buy raiblocks is Mercatox exchange since the other one is down constantly. Send over some Bitcoin (or Litecoin/ ethereum and exchange them into bitcoin) and you can get yourself some to! Comparing IOTA to Raiblocks is not a good comparrison. Raiblocks has a finished product and is specifically designed as a currency, while IOTA is not.

The main difference(functionality wise) is Raiblocks does not allow you to send data in a transaction. This means that it should not be used for IOT. Raiblocks has much less adoption and a smaller team. They basically had 2 people working on the ledger and transactions. The lead was part time until recently. Both still need to prove they can scale to the level of mass adoption, because if crypto adopts at the rate we’re used to its price increasing then there will not be time to test new ways to scale until it’s too late. Raiblock’s full wallet is easier to use than any iota wallets. While it’s almost impossible(I’m pretty sure the wallet generates a new address every time you send) to lose iota from address reuse, people still speak ill because one guy somehow lost 30k. Raiblocks does not require address reuse but is also not quantum resistant. Raiblocks does not require reattachment or configuring which node you’re attached to. It does however only have full nodes so it takes a while to sync. There are web wallets but I don’t think they’re safe.

As per my analysis, I see better potential in IOTA compared to XRB. IOTA has established as good way to do micro-payments. Although, its value is stagnant since last one month but I hope it will improve. At least its value is not deteriorating.
