Samuel Jackson Is Not Moving To Africa. Trump Wife No. 2? Maybe

U.S. actor Samuel L. Jackson says he isn’t moving to South Africa despite Donald Trump’s presidential victory. During a skit on U.S. late night talk show “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” Jackson said if Trump won the election, he was leaving the country, according to Washington Times.

Model and actress Marla Maples — Trump’s second wife — may be headed to Africa. She’s hoping for a U.N. ambassador gig and has her eye on an assignment somewhere on the continent, according to New York Post gossip page, Page Six:

Maples “has been very interested in philanthropy for a long time,” and she has her eye on an assignment somewhere in Africa.

“She has volunteered in Africa and she has taken Tiffany (her daughter with Trump) there recently.”

Several South African news websites told readers this week that Jackson, star of movies such including “The Hateful Eight” and “Pulp Fiction,” informed Trump supporters on social media that he wasn’t serious about moving to Africa.

Other celebrities have reneged on promises to leave the U.S. Jackson has a legitimate excuse, Washington Times reported. He made his comment in December about moving to South Africa during a sketch on ABC-TV’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” in which he played the voice of the “hateful eight ball.”

“If that mother–– becomes president, I’m moving my black a— to South Africa,” Jackson said.

When social-media followers reminded him of his comment, Jackson said on Twitter, “When you learn the difference between My Actual Opinion & A Kimmel Skit … Maybe we can talk.”

Maples’ ex-husband Trump will have to pull some strings to get her an ambassador job, Page Six reported. The president doesn’t appoint U.N. ambassadors, except for the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations.
