The Oetker Collection, a European luxury hotels group, is hoping to lure UAE residents to its latest property, a private island in the Seychelles frequented by celebrities and the ultra-rich.

The group took over the management of Fregate Island Private this week from the owners, a consortium of German investors, and dispatched executives to Russia, London, Paris, Munich, New York, China and Dubai to publicise the property.

“We thought that it would make sense to make the announcement on the same day in what we believe are the key markets,” said Alain Briere, the vice president of sales and marketing at Oetker Collection.
