Nigerian Job Creation Program Gets Global Attention

Nigerian T.B. Joshua has been commended by the International Labor Organisation, a United Nations agency, for his initiative targeting job creation for unemployed graduates and skills development.

Joshua tries to link prospective students with top-level business administration schools around the world in partnership with Nigeria’s Emmanuel TV and The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations. His efforts include giving scholarships to enterprising African students.

“Youth and employment is a huge challenge that the world is facing today and we commend the efforts … for championing a worldwide initiative on job creation,” said Sinanzeni Chuma-Mkandawire, director of the International Labor Organisation for Nigeria, Gambia, Ghana, Liberia and Sierra Leone.

According to Nigeria’s Guardian newspaper, the project has attracted national and international interest. “Thousands of organisations around the world have offered to partner with TB Joshua by providing job opportunities for Africans,” the report said.
