Sipping Wine — And So Much More — In Soweto

When I moved to Johannesburg in 2010, Soweto’s famous Vilakazi Street (home to two Nobel Peace Prize winners – Nelson Mandela and Archbishop Desmond Tutu) was the first tourist attraction I visited. I’ve been back to Soweto many times since then, for walking and cycling tours, photo walks, museum visits, and traditional South African meals. But until a few weeks ago, I never would have thought to visit Soweto for the wine.
