AC Milan To Bring Kevin-Prince Boateng Back

AC Milan Chief Executive Adriano Galliani has confirmed that Ghanaian midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng will rejoin the club in the January transfer window on a free transfer.

The combative midfielder played for the Rossoneri between 2010 and 2013, at which point the German-born talent transferred to Schalke 04, to the disappointment of Milan fans.

The player who represented Ghana in international competition was a favourite amongst the Milan supporters for his tenacity and determination to win on the pitch.

Boateng has been without a club since May, when he was released from his contract at Schalke for reasons that were described as a break down in trust between club and player.

Speaking to Sky TV following Milan’s 4-2 away win against Frosinone in Serie A action on Sunday, Galliani revealed that the Ghanaian will be returning to the club in the new year in an effort to strengthen the midfield for the second half of the season.

“On January 4 we will register Boateng’s contract with the Lega Serie A and he will be available for selection,” Galliani confirmed.

The Chief Executive also confirmed that Spanish winger Suso would leave the club on loan to Italian rivals Genoa.

Boateng was born in Germany, but decided to represent Ghana, though he has had his fair share of controversy with the Black Stars, representing them at the 2010 World Cup and then retiring after the tournament only to return before the 2014 edition, only to be sent home during the tournament along with Sulley Muntari for bad conduct.
