- Two Month Mark Equals High Rankings and Millions of Impressions
- Moguldom to Launch HipHopWired & MadameNoire Podcasts
Atlanta, GA (July 21, 2015) – Bossip.com, the premier online destination for African American popular culture and entertainment news, with Moguldom Media Group, today announced, in partnership with PodcastOne, the leader in advertiser-supported podcasts, that the “Bossip Presents: Don’t Be Scared” podcast launched in May of this year, has achieved early success. In two short months, the weekly podcast, featuring Bossip editorial staffer-hosts David Dennis, Jason “Jah” Lee and Danielle “Danni” Canada, has consistently ranked in the Top 10 among PodcastOne’s more than 200 podcasts and has delivered millions of impressions for its advertisers.
“Our Don’t Be Scared team has done an amazing job extending Bossip’s voice and themes from the digital page across the digital airwaves; drawing such a large audience in a short amount of time,” said Marve Frazier, Moguldom Media chief creative officer, and Bossip.com CEO. “The combination of Bossip’s brand equity — 5 million monthly uniques—viciously hilarious content and loyal fans, coupled with PodcastOne’s network and expertise in the space has created a win-win for advertisers.”
PodcastOne Chairman and CEO Norm Pattiz stated: “We have long recognized the importance of ultra-popular targeted websites. Now, for the first time, we can target the all-important urban market by tapping into the reach and popularity of Bossip.com. The cross promotion between Bossip.com and PodcastOne’s network of digital, on-demand audio programming guarantees that Bossip Presents: Don’t Be Scared will be consumed by a large and extremely important audience.”
Following the “Bossip Presents: Don’t Be Scared” success, Moguldom will be scaling new podcasts across its entire portfolio of digital brands including HipHopWired and MadameNoire that will be integrated into a leading smart-radio content player focused on urban culture. The company has also constructed plans for advertisers to market their brands via this podcast strategy.
“In today’s ever-changing digital landscape, we have recognized the need to engage at deeper levels with our audience wherever they are consuming content,” continued Frazier. “With radio accelerating into digital at an extremely rapid pace, the opportunity to monetize these efforts has become the next big opportunity for publishers and their advertisers. Our partnership with PodcastOne has provided us with yet another opportunity to reach our core audience and the results we have realized to date has delivered the proof needed to invest more heavily around these types of strategies.”
